Singer Lee Seung-yoon (이승윤) is set to tie the knot with a non-celebrity in March. He shared the news personally with fans through a handwritten letter. 

On March 6, his agency, Marumaro (마름모), confirmed the news, stating, "Our artist Lee Seung-yoon will be getting married this March." They added that his fiancée is an ordinary office worker who has been a source of support for him over the years. The couple plans to hold a simple family ceremony, and due to its private nature, specific details will not be disclosed. 

Marumaro expressed their hope for the couple's future, asking fans to refrain from speculation about their personal lives to allow them to maintain a normal daily routine. They also assured fans that they will continue to support Lee Seung-yoon's music career. 

In his letter, Lee Seung-yoon reflected on his relationship, stating, "On a day in March, when the seasons overlap, I will be getting married. I wanted to share this news with you first, as it may come as a surprise." He reminisced about meeting his partner nine years ago, highlighting the many experiences they have shared, from challenges to joys. 

He concluded by expressing gratitude for the promise made nine years ago and his intention to keep it, saying, "I will continue to live quietly and beautifully, just as I have until now."

On March 7, MONSTA X unveiled the latest episode of their reality series 'MONMUKGO' titled 'EP.33 MONMUKGO Returns (몬먹고 리턴즈)' on their official YouTube channel. This episode marked the return of Joohoney, who has completed his military service. As soon as he was discharged, Joohoney was playfully ambushed by the production team while still in his military uniform, expressing his surprise at being suddenly 'captured' but showcasing his enduring sense of humor.

Joohoney shared his thoughts on the show, stating, "For me, 'MONMUKGO' is a source of comfort. It feels like a field where I can play freely. I feel really good to be back in that field. Minhyuk offered to cook for the members in exchange for tools, while Joohoney proposed to perform the show's theme song as a trade, leading to their success in the trout-catching mission.

Following this, Shownu, Minhyuk, and Joohoney embarked on their second mission at a strawberry farm, where they aimed to pick exactly 514 grams of strawberries. The trio put in considerable effort to weigh the strawberries accurately, even breaking into a dance to the 'Strawberry Song' to boost their spirits.

To succeed in their mission, Shownu had to propose something to exchange with the production team, leading to anticipation for new content from 'MONMUKGO.' The episode concluded without revealing whether they successfully completed the strawberry mission, leaving fans eager for the next installment.

On March 8, 2025, President Yoon Suk-yeol was released from the Seoul Detention Center in Gyeonggi Province. He stepped out of the facility at approximately 5:48 PM, greeting supporters with a bright smile and expressing his gratitude by saying, 'Thank you.'

Yoon also shared his sorrow upon hearing about the tragic news of a supporter who took their own life in protest of his imprisonment, offering his sincere condolences. He acknowledged that there are others still incarcerated in connection with his case and prayed for their swift release. Furthermore, he mentioned that some individuals are enduring hardships while fulfilling their duties as public officials under the constitutional authority of the presidency, and he wished for their quick release and good health.

SBS's Friday-Saturday drama, Treasure Island (보물섬), continues its impressive upward trajectory by setting a new record for viewership ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, the sixth episode aired on March 8 achieved a nationwide rating of 11.2%, marking a 3 percentage point increase from the previous episode. This performance secured the top spot across all channels during its time slot, as well as the number one position for Saturday mini-series and weekly mini-series. In the Seoul metropolitan area, the rating reached 11%, with a peak moment hitting 12.3%, showcasing the show's explosive popularity. The 2049 demographic rating also stood at 2.9%, indicating a strong response from younger viewers.

In this episode, the intertwined desires of three characters—Seo Dong-joo (박형식), Yeom Jang-seon (허준호), and Heo Il-do (이해영)—heightened the tension. A key plot twist involved Seo Dong-joo hacking a political slush fund account worth 2 trillion won, only to lose his memory afterward, intensifying the psychological battle among the characters.

Yeom Jang-seon, suspecting Seo Dong-joo's amnesia, kidnapped him and subjected him to brutal water torture, yet Seo Dong-joo remained tight-lipped about the account password. This prompted Yeom Jang-seon and Heo Il-do to devise a new strategy, leading to a dramatic rescue attempt by Heo Il-do. Yeom Jang-seon feigned concern for Seo Dong-joo, while Heo Il-do maintained a watchful yet secretive demeanor, adding to the suspense.

However, the real conflict escalated afterward. Heo Il-do began to blackmail Yeom Jang-seon, demanding half of the political slush fund, which sufficiently rattled Yeom Jang-seon. Meanwhile, Seo Dong-joo confronted Heo Il-do at his workout space, asking pointedly, "Did you try to kill me with a gun, Representative?" 

In a desperate move to restore Seo Dong-joo's memory, Yeom Jang-seon resorted to extreme measures, staging a traffic accident to eliminate Seo Dong-joo's sister, Sister Agnes (한지혜). The shocking scene left Seo Dong-joo devastated, seemingly triggering the return of his forgotten memories.

The episode concluded with a powerful juxtaposition of Seo Dong-joo's anguished cries and Yeom Jang-seon's cruel smile, leaving viewers eager to see if Seo Dong-joo will finally retaliate against Yeom Jang-seon and how the revenge narrative will unfold.
