Lee Seok-hoon Makes His 'Running Man' Debut After 17 Years

On the February 2nd episode of SBS's variety show 'Running Man', singer and musical actor Lee Seok-hoon made a surprising appearance, marking his first time on the show after 17 years in the industry. Lee, a member of the three-man vocal group SG Wannabe, revealed, "This is my first time on 'Running Man'," leaving everyone astonished.
Lee Seok-hoon debuted as an official member of SG Wannabe in April 2008, after successfully passing a competitive audition with odds of 500:1. Now, 17 years later, his debut on 'Running Man' has caught fans off guard.
Adding to the humor, Lee mentioned, "It's also my first time appearing on a major variety show without my glasses," which led to laughter from the cast, as many admitted they didn't recognize him. He even joked about experiencing a 'glasses withdrawal' and, upon putting them back on, everyone exclaimed, "Now that's Lee Seok-hoon!" He responded, "I feel more comfortable wearing my glasses."
In addition to his appearance on 'Running Man', Lee Seok-hoon is currently starring in the musical 'The Eyes Open', alongside fellow musical actors Park Eun-tae and Kyuhyun. The show features a powerful number where the character Gwynplaine appeals to senators to recognize the harsh realities faced by the poor and to show compassion. 'The Laughing Man' musical will be performed at the Seoul Arts Center Opera Theater until March 9th.
