Lee Sang-yeob Reveals He Decided to Marry After Seeing Lee Min-jung

In the latest episode of SBS's variety show, 미운 우리 새끼 (My Little Old Boy), actor Lee Sang-yeob shared that he made the decision to marry after observing his wife, Lee Min-jung. During the show aired on May 18, 2025, Lee Sang-yeob, who is celebrating his first year of marriage, was asked by host Seo Jang-hoon if he still calls his wife by the affectionate nickname '너무 너무 귀여워' (so so cute). He responded that he has evolved the nickname to '킹빈' (King Bin), playfully explaining that it incorporates her name and sometimes refers to her as '킹왕짱 빈' (the best Bin) or '킹 받게' (King gets angry) when joking around. He added, 'Too cute, King Bin!'

Lee Sang-yeob also revealed that he still celebrates anniversaries every 100 days, noting that while they don’t do anything extravagant, they enjoy good food and sometimes exchange flowers. He mentioned, 'We find meaning in each milestone, like saying, 'Today is our 800th day at the Han River.'

In a light-hearted moment, he shared that he prepared a comedic impersonation for his family meeting but forgot it in the moment, joking that it might have been a blessing in disguise that led to his marriage.

Most notably, Lee Sang-yeob confessed that his desire to marry was sparked while filming the drama 한번 다녀왔습니다 (Once Again) with Lee Min-jung. He observed her happiness while checking her phone during breaks, often smiling joyfully. He noted how Lee Byung-hun, her husband, would share moments of their child with her, which made her glow with happiness. He expressed, 'Seeing her wanting to go home to her child after filming made me want to get married quickly.'
