Lee Sang-min Shares Insights on His Quick Marriage Decision

Lee Sang-min has opened up about the reasons behind his swift decision to marry his fiancée. He revealed that one significant factor in their rapidly developing relationship is the positive rapport he shares with his future mother-in-law. During the May 12 episode of SBS's 'My Little Old Boy' (미운 우리 새끼), Lee discussed a recent trip he took with his fiancée and her mother.

He expressed, "My mother-in-law really likes me," adding that she has treated him with kindness and has appreciated his responsible lifestyle. Lee noted that his appearance on 'My Little Old Boy,' where he handled his mother's passing with grace, left a good impression on his future mother-in-law.

Lee also mentioned that he has already traveled with his fiancée and her mother, stating, "We went on a trip to Macau for 2-3 days without a formal meeting after my mother passed away."

He explained their decision not to hold a wedding ceremony, saying, "Although my fiancée is getting married for the first time, she believes a wedding is unnecessary." He also considered the costs associated with a wedding, stating, "I believe that registering the marriage is what truly counts." His comments prompted admiration from fellow cast members Kim Jun-ho and Seo Jang-hoon, who noted his thoughtful approach to the situation.

Lee Sang-min also discussed his plans for their new home, revealing that their current lease ends in June, and they plan to move into their new place, which will serve as their marital home. Throughout the conversation, Lee emphasized his serious commitment to marrying his fiancée and the significant changes in his life as they prepare for their future together.
