Lee Kyung-kyu Shares Hilarious Story of Trying to Recruit Yoo Jae-suk on 'Jo Dongari'

On December 20, Lee Kyung-kyu made a guest appearance on the YouTube channel 'Jo Dongari,' where he humorously expressed his frustration about not being able to recruit Yoo Jae-suk during his appearance on 'You Quiz on the Block.'
Lee opened the show by asking, "Did Jae-suk come here to 'Jo Dongari'?" When Ji Suk-jin confirmed, he exclaimed, "I really messed up! I've never not appeared on a program hosted by Yoo Jae-suk. I've been on 'You Quiz,' 'How Do You Play?' and even helped establish my presence on the early episodes of 'Infinite Challenge.'"
He continued, raising his voice, "What program hosted by Yoo Jae-suk have I not been on?" When Kim Yong-man asked what he was trying to say, Lee replied, "Shouldn't he come on my YouTube channel? Why did I go to 'You Quiz'? I went to catch Jae-suk, but ended up with Jo Se-ho and Nam Chang-hee!" This revelation sent the studio into fits of laughter.
When Ji Suk-jin inquired about the viewership numbers, Lee sighed and said, "It was a disaster. During the recording of 'You Quiz,' Jo Se-ho kept insisting he would come on my channel. Why is he crawling out when I went to catch Yoo Jae-suk?" His exaggerated reaction kept the audience entertained.
Lee also shared his entrepreneurial journey, discussing his ventures from raising crickets to creating 'Kkokko-myeon.' He recalled, "I saw on MBC News that eggs from crickets-fed chickens were plump and good. That inspired the idea of 'well-being chickens,' so I visited a farm and tried their chicken soup, which was delicious. That's how I started the chicken business."
However, things didn't go as planned. Kim Yong-man chimed in, "You named the chicken 'Cricket Chicken' and brought it home for your wife to try, but she wouldn't eat it because it sounded weird!" Lee explained that he even learned how to make broth in Namdaemun, which led to the creation of 'Kkokko-myeon.' When asked if he still receives royalties from 'Kkokko-myeon,' Lee confirmed, "Sometimes, yes."
As the conversation continued, Ji Suk-jin asked why Lee kept pursuing business despite his wealth. Lee candidly admitted, "It was due to insecurity. Just the other day, while having coffee, I felt life was so lonely. I wondered why I made movies and took on so many side jobs. That was my insecurity."
He added, "But if an artist has no insecurity, then they aren't really an artist." He jokingly pointed at Kim Soo-yong, saying, "Those without insecurity aren't artists!" Kim responded humorously, "Do you know how insecure I am? I feel like I'm always on the edge of a cliff!"
Lee also discussed his upcoming autobiography, set to be released in February next year. He shared, "The book will contain my experiences in the entertainment industry and stories about the people I've met. It's not just simple anecdotes; it reflects my perspective on various topics, including what marriage means and social phenomena." When asked about the title, Lee mentioned, "I haven't decided yet, but tentatively, it's 'If Caught, You're Dead.'"
As the discussion about the book continued, Lee jokingly warned, "Do you know what a lawsuit is? I won't hesitate to go through with it!" He added playfully, "Publish it once in the front and twice in the back!"
