Lee Kwang-soo Joins Disney+ Original Series 'Fragmented City'

Actor Lee Kwang-soo has officially joined the cast of the Disney+ original series 'Fragmented City' (조각도시). On November 21, his agency, King Kong by Starship, announced that Lee will portray the character 'Baek Do-kyung' in the series, which is written by Oh Sang-ho and directed by Park Shin-woo and Kim Chang-joo. The series is produced by Walt Disney Company Korea in collaboration with CJ ENM, Studio Dragon, and Simplex Pictures.

'Fragmented City' follows the story of an ordinary man named 'Tae-jung' (played by Ji Chang-wook), who finds himself wrongfully imprisoned for a heinous crime. As he uncovers that the entire scheme was orchestrated by 'Yohan' (played by Doh Kyung-soo), he embarks on a quest for revenge. Lee Kwang-soo's character, Baek Do-kyung, is a pivotal figure in the narrative, holding the key to the unfolding events and adding tension to the storyline.

Recently, Lee has been generating buzz with his diverse projects, including the recently released 'No Way Out: The Roulette,' the Netflix series 'Bad Relationship,' and the upcoming film 'Dreams of You' (working title). In 'No Way Out: The Roulette,' he showcased a chilling performance as the butcher 'Yoon Chang-jae,' marking a significant transformation in his acting career. Fans are eager to see what new facets he will bring to his role in 'Fragmented City.'

The series, which also stars Ji Chang-wook, Doh Kyung-soo, and Jo Yoon-soo, is set to premiere in 2025 on Disney+.
