Lee Kwang-gi has confirmed that his daughter, Yeon-ji, is set to marry football player Jeong Woo-young in June. In a conversation with OSEN, Lee shared that the couple met through mutual friends and developed their relationship over the past year, culminating in their upcoming wedding. Known as a devoted father, Lee expressed his initial hopes for his daughter to marry later but has grown fond of Jeong, praising his sincerity and attentiveness to Yeon-ji. He remarked, 'I have always liked Jeong Woo-young, and now I feel like God has given us a son-like gift.' Lee also mentioned that he trusts his daughter’s ability to support an athlete, noting her skills in cooking and managing a household, which she inherited from her mother. Football journalist Seo Ho-jung previously announced the couple's engagement on his YouTube channel. Jeong Woo-young, born in 1999, currently plays for FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. To distinguish him from another footballer with the same name, fans affectionately refer to him as 'Jak Woo-young.' Yeon-ji, who is also 24, has appeared on entertainment programs with her father, gaining public attention.
