Lee Jun-seok Calls Lee Jae-myung a Dictator and Criticizes Kim Moon-soo

On June 2, Lee Jun-seok, the presidential candidate for the Reform Party, engaged with students during lunch at the student cafeteria of Korea University of Technology and Education in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province. He responded to the call for 'decisive action' from Kwon Seong-dong, the floor leader of the People Power Party, stating, "Only Lee Jun-seok, free from martial law, the Taegukgi troops, and election fraud, is the sole alternative for the broader conservative movement."

During a press conference as part of his 'Let's Eat Together, Lee Jun-seok' series, he remarked, "I was aware that the People Power Party was a disorganized group, and their messaging is also confused." He pointed out that Kim Jae-won, the head of his secretariat, had provocatively stated on the radio the previous day that "a vote for Lee Jun-seok is like throwing a piece of paper away." He expressed concern over the party's attempts at coalition and unification, urging rational voters in South Korea to make their judgments.

Earlier that morning, Kwon Seong-dong had posted on Facebook, "It is time to make a decision. The future is Lee Jun-seok, but for now, it is Kim Moon-soo." He urged support for Kim Moon-soo to prevent the rise of Lee Jae-myung's criminal faction, suggesting that Kwon's statement implied a request for Kim to withdraw from the race after expressing support.

Lee Jun-seok reiterated his stance that he could not follow the same path as Kim Moon-soo, clarifying, "It has become clear that Kim Moon-soo is the candidate supported by figures like Yoon Seok-yeol, Jeon Kwang-hoon, and Hwang Kyo-ahn. What does the conservative movement intend to show in this election with martial law, election fraud, and the Taegukgi troops?"

He further criticized Kim Moon-soo's contributions during the campaign, stating, "I have pointed out Lee Jae-myung's policies and moral issues throughout this election. What has Kim Moon-soo done? Who pretended to be aloof when I was covered in blood? This attitude of trying to ride on the coattails of the election is problematic." He urged voters to invest clearly in him, believing that the conservative camp's crescent moon is on the rise.

Regarding Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate, he stated, "Lee Jae-myung is destined to become a dictator and must be strongly judged." He criticized Lee for attempting to manipulate laws to his advantage, calling such actions an affront to democracy. He questioned how one could label someone who passes laws to halt their own trial as anything but a dictator.

In response to claims from the Democratic Party that global investor Jim Rogers had declared support for Lee Jae-myung, Lee Jun-seok dismissed these assertions as unverified and a violation of election law, calling for Lee Jae-myung to reflect on his actions.

After lunch with students, Lee Jun-seok planned to campaign in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, concluding his final rally at 6:30 PM at Suseong Lake in Daegu. He explained that he chose Daegu as his last campaign stop to convey his message of transforming outdated conservatism into a future-oriented one. He recalled his speech at the People Power Party convention in Daegu on June 3, 2021, where he expressed a desire to build a new conservatism, hoping that voters in Daegu and Gyeongbuk would show their support for a new generation of conservatism through their votes.
