Lee Junho and JYP Entertainment Part Ways After 17 Years

Singer and actor Lee Junho (이준호) and JYP Entertainment have decided to support each other's future endeavors as they part ways after nearly 17 years together. On the morning of March 20, JYP Entertainment announced that Lee Junho's exclusive contract will officially end on April 15. After extensive discussions, both parties agreed not to renew the contract.
Interestingly, sources revealed that while Lee Junho has chosen not to re-sign with JYP, he has not actively pursued meetings with other agencies or sought a new management company, which is notable given that industry norms typically allow for preliminary discussions three months prior to a contract's expiration.
Lee Junho's cautious approach is evident as he remains focused on his activities with JYP until the end of his contract. This year, he successfully held a fan concert tour for the first time in two years, with the Taipei show selling out completely.
Additionally, Lee Junho made history as the first Korean actor to appear on Brazil's popular talk show, The Noite (더 노이치), hosted by comedian Danilo Gentili. The show has gained significant popularity since its debut in 2014, featuring numerous global stars like Keanu Reeves, M. Night Shyamalan, Josh Hartnett, Tom Holland, and Hugh Jackman.
During his appearance, Lee Junho captivated viewers by sharing his thoughts on performing, his dual career as a singer and actor, and his upcoming projects.
As Lee Junho focuses on his career until the end of his contract, the conclusion of his 17-year relationship with JYP shines brightly. He has shown deep appreciation for the company that supported him from his debut to becoming a leading actor.
JYP Entertainment has also demonstrated its support for Lee Junho by promptly announcing the end of his contract, allowing him the freedom to explore new opportunities without pressure. This amicable farewell reflects the mutual respect and warmth between the artist and the agency.
