Lee Jung-jin's Journey to Marriage and Parenthood on 'Groom Class'

In the latest episode of Channel A's reality show 'Current Men's Life: Groom Class' (요즘 남자 라이프 신랑수업), actor Lee Jung-jin (이정진) showcased his preparations for marriage and parenthood. The episode aired on July 23, 2025, and featured Lee starting his day at his second house in Yangpyeong. He was seen waking up, preparing breakfast, taking traditional herbal medicine, and dressing neatly after washing his face.

Lee described the house as a small countryside retreat where he often visits with his family and pet dog, explaining that his parents purchased the second house because they love dogs. He shared insights about the herbal medicine he takes, stating, "I start my day with this herbal medicine. It was made by the father of six sisters, and I've been taking it for a long time, so I wonder if it really works. I make sure to take it on an empty stomach with warm water."

Demonstrating his cooking skills, Lee mentioned, "I try to take care of everything. I’m not young anymore, so if I don’t put in the effort, it feels like I’m not trying hard enough."

The episode also featured Lee's long-time friends, Lee Jong-hyuk (이종혁) and Oh Ji-ho (오지호), who have known him for over 20 years. Lee shared, "I’ve known Oh Ji-ho since our modeling days, which has been 25 years. I met Lee Jong-hyuk during the filming of the movie 'Maljukgeori Gajoksa' (말죽거리 잔혹사) about 20-30 years ago. We also play golf together."

Lee expressed curiosity about how his friends, who have both built happy families, managed their marriages, saying, "I was curious about how they got married. I thought they might have some secrets."

Both Lee Jong-hyuk and Oh Ji-ho received surprised reactions from their friends when they announced their marriages. Oh Ji-ho shared his experience, saying, "I never thought about getting married, but when I met my wife, Eun Bo-ah (은보아), I felt an inexplicable urge to marry her. I didn’t even ask for her contact information at first. But a week later, I thought we should get in touch."

He added, "My joy has doubled since getting married. Traveling with friends after marriage is so much more fun."

Despite the discussions about marriage, Lee Jung-jin expressed his desire to settle down. Lee Jong-hyuk remarked, "Traveling after marriage feels liberating. You need some restrictions to appreciate freedom."

Lee Jung-jin reflected, "So that’s why you guys enjoyed it so much."

Oh Ji-ho noted, "I think I haven’t done enough either. Lee Jung-jin has a cold image, but he’s surprisingly family-oriented. He cooks well and takes good care of things. He’s quite considerate."

Lee Jong-hyuk responded, "Why is that?" showing concern for Lee Jung-jin's situation.
