Lee Jung-hyun Shares Her Childbirth Experience on 'Newly Released Restaurant'

On January 17, 2025, KBS 2TV's variety show 'Newly Released Restaurant' (신상출시 편스토랑) featured Lee Jung-hyun (이정현) as she opened up about the birth of her second child. During the episode, her husband asked, 'You were scared during childbirth, are you still scared now?' To which Lee replied, 'I am scared, especially when entering the operating room. But I still want to meet the baby quickly.'

On the day of the surgery, Lee expressed her excitement despite her lack of sleep, saying, 'I couldn't sleep at all last night. I'm so curious about what the baby will look like. The 3D ultrasound showed the baby looks just like my first child, Seo Ah (서아).' She even recorded a video message saying, 'I'll see you soon, goodbye.'

Before heading into the operating room, she asked her husband, 'Does my face look okay? I braided my hair.' He reassured her, saying, 'You look like a girl.' However, she was overwhelmed with worry and anxiety.

As she walked towards the surgery room, she expressed her fear, saying, 'I'm scared. I'm really scared.' Kang Soo-jung (강수정), who was present, empathized, stating, 'It feels like mothers are risking their lives going in there. But you’re having two!' Moments later, Lee welcomed her second bundle of joy, exclaiming, 'Hello, little one. You're so tiny.' Her husband held her hand tightly after the surgery, expressing his gratitude, 'You did great. Thank you.'

On the second day after giving birth, Lee remarked, 'The baby looks even more like you. What a surprise! It's like a mini version of you!' bringing smiles to everyone around her.
