Lee Jin-wook Encourages Poetry Reading in Recent Interview

Actor Lee Jin-wook recently recommended that people read poetry during an interview featured on the online channel Arena Homme Plus. In the video titled 'Just Trust Jin-wook! Actor Lee Jin-wook's Filmography Promises More Work in 2025,' he reflected on his career and answered various questions. When asked about his recent activities, he shared, 'I finished filming the drama My Harry two months ago and took some personal time to relax.' He added, 'I will start filming a movie in a month. I'm taking this time to recharge and am feeling happy.'

Regarding his debut, he mentioned, 'My debut was probably in the film My New Boyfriend. At that time, I didn’t really understand acting; I was just standing in front of the camera, experiencing it like an ordinary person visiting a set.'

He also discussed his role in the beloved drama Romance is a Bonus Book, recalling a particularly impactful line where his character, Yoon Seok-hyun, encourages someone to read poetry. 'That line was shocking and carries a lot of meaning. In today's world, it feels even more necessary. I urge everyone to read poetry,' he said.

When asked about his most memorable character, he chose Park Sun-woo from the drama Nine. He explained, 'Like many characters in dramas and films, he lives a dramatic life. There are many characters who face death, but Park Sun-woo particularly resonates with me. I feel like he might still be alive in some timeline.' He concluded with a heartfelt message, 'Are you happy? I am happy. I hope you are happy too.'

Additionally, Lee Jin-wook expressed his excitement about participating in the upcoming season of Squid Game 2, stating, 'Most actors find this project intriguing, and I am honored to be part of it.'
