Lee Jeong-ha Shares Excitement for 'Moving' Season 2

In a recent interview held at the Post Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, actor Lee Jeong-ha expressed his anticipation for the upcoming season 2 of 'Moving'. The interview took place on June 11, where he also discussed his role in the Wavve original series 'ONE: High School Heroes'.

Based on the webtoon 'ONE' by writer Lee Eun-jae, 'ONE: High School Heroes' follows the story of the top student, Eok-gyeom (played by Lee Jeong-ha), who struggles under his father's oppression. Alongside Yoon-ki (Kim Do-wan), who seeks to utilize Eok-gyeom's exceptional fighting skills, they form a masked group called 'High School Heroes' to unleash their pent-up anger and challenge the hierarchy of school violence.

When asked why he chose 'ONE: High School Heroes' after 'Moving', Lee stated, "I don't think Eok-gyeom from 'ONE: High School Heroes' is similar to Bong-seok from 'Moving'. I read a lot of webtoons, and when I got to star in 'Moving', it felt like I became the protagonist of a webtoon. I was grateful for the opportunity to take on Eok-gyeom, thinking, 'Can I do this?'."

He also shared his thoughts on working on webtoon adaptations consecutively, saying, "I enjoy it. Creating a character is quite challenging. The essence of the webtoon is already infused by the writer, so I try to capture that feeling as much as possible, which makes it comfortable and enjoyable for me."

Having received significant acclaim for his performance in 'Moving', including a rookie award, Lee was asked if he felt any pressure for his next project. He replied, "I appreciate the award, but the pressure has always been there from the start. I try to enjoy this pressure, and when I share my concerns with senior actors, hearing them say, 'I'm nervous too' helps ease my tension. Talking about it and adapting to the set early on helps reduce that pressure. As I gain more experience, I believe I will be able to act more comfortably in the future."

Lee also shared insights about 'Moving' season 2, mentioning a scene where Hee-soo (Go Yoon-jung) goes to the police station. He asked the writer if Bong-seok could join her, but was told that Bong-seok couldn't go because he is busy saving the world. Although he doesn't know much about season 2, he expressed excitement after hearing that it will feature even larger-scale action than the first season.

When asked if Bong-seok would appear in season 2, he replied, "Bong-seok should be in it. I think the writer is working on it, but I'm not sure."

Meanwhile, the final episode of 'ONE: High School Heroes' is set to air on June 13. Lee hinted at the conclusion, stating, "We tried to reflect the webtoon's framework as much as possible. I liked it." Regarding the possibility of a season 2 for 'ONE: High School Heroes', he mentioned, "If the opportunity arises, I would love to do it. I asked the other actors if we could have a season 2. The original ends with 'ONE', but the director said, 'We can create new content.' He suggested that if it happens, we should jump right in."
