Lee Jang-woo's Emotional Farewell on 'I Live Alone' Not a Departure from the Show

Lee Jang-woo surprised viewers of MBC's 'I Live Alone' (나 혼자 산다) with an emotional letter hinting at his departure. However, it has been confirmed that he is not leaving the show entirely; instead, he will be stepping away from the popular 'Palm Oil Line' (팜유 라인) group, which includes Jeon Hyun-moo and Park Na-rae.
In the episode aired on June 20, the Palm Oil Line's trip to Istanbul, Turkey was featured. The preview at the end of the episode showed Jeon Hyun-moo, Park Na-rae, and Lee Jang-woo enjoying their time in swimwear while exploring various culinary delights across Turkey.
Amidst the joy, Lee Jang-woo took a moment to read a heartfelt letter, stating, "It seems this will be the last time for Palm Oil. I am very sad and disappointed, but I am grateful for the endless love you have given me." His emotional words brought tears to Park Na-rae's eyes as well.
Lee Jang-woo added, "Please come to my wedding and say just one thing: 'Lee Jang-woo has grown up.'" While this statement hinted at his departure from 'I Live Alone,' it was clarified on June 21 that he will continue to appear on the show until his wedding to girlfriend Jo Hye-won this winter.
OSEN reported exclusively that Lee Jang-woo and Jo Hye-won are set to marry on November 23. The wedding will take place in a private ceremony in Seoul, attended only by close family and friends.
The couple publicly acknowledged their relationship in June 2023, having developed their romance after meeting on the KBS2 weekend drama 'My Only One' (하나뿐인 내편), which concluded in March 2019. After seven years of nurturing their love, they are now ready to take the next step in their relationship.
Although there were concerns about Lee Jang-woo's departure from 'I Live Alone' due to the wedding, he will remain on the show until then, promising more engaging stories to come.
Lee Jang-woo debuted in 2006 with the drama '90 Days, Time to Love' and has since found success not only as an actor but also in the restaurant business. Jo Hye-won made her debut in 2016 with the film 'Honsum' and has left a lasting impression through her roles in dramas such as 'Perfume,' 'Day and Night,' 'Mine,' and 'Military Prosecutor Doberman.'
