Lee Jang-woo Opens Up About Marriage Plans on 'The Jeon Hyun-moo Project 2'

In the latest episode of MBN's entertainment show, The Jeon Hyun-moo Project 2 (전현무계획2), actor Lee Jang-woo shared his thoughts on leaving the reality show I Live Alone (나 혼자 산다) as he approaches marriage. Lee Jang-woo, who publicly confirmed his relationship with 8-year-younger Jo Hye-won in June 2023, has been dating her since they met on the 2018 drama My Only One (하나뿐인 내편). During the 2023 MBC Entertainment Awards, after winning the Best Male Award, he mentioned his parents' pressure to get married, humorously stating, "I feel like I should live alone a bit longer after receiving this award. Should I delay marriage with my girlfriend? Can I stay on I Live Alone a little longer?" This sparked curiosity among viewers. When asked about his marriage plans, Lee Jang-woo confirmed, "Yes, I will get married," and hinted at a possible wedding in the fall or around the end of the year. Jeon Hyun-moo advised him that marriage would change many aspects of his life, including potentially stepping away from I Live Alone, a move previously made by actor Lee Si-eon upon his marriage. Although there has been no official discussion regarding Lee Jang-woo's departure from the show, Jeon Hyun-moo emphasized the importance of not keeping Jo Hye-won waiting indefinitely. Lee Jang-woo expressed that both he and Jo Hye-won are concerned about the significant changes marriage would bring to their lives, showcasing their mutual care and love. Jeon Hyun-moo also noted that having a girlfriend who understands the balance between career and marriage is a positive aspect for Lee Jang-woo.
