Lee Jang-woo Indulges in Turkish Cuisine on 'I Live Alone'

In the latest episode of MBC's I Live Alone (나 혼자 산다), which aired on June 27, 2025, Lee Jang-woo shared his recent experiences with weight fluctuations while being captivated by Turkish cuisine. The episode featured Lee Jang-woo, Jeon Hyun-moo, and Park Na-rae as they traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, for the 4th Palm Oil Seminar.
Under the guidance of the seminar leader Jeon Hyun-moo, the trio enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast spread. When they sampled kaymak, a creamy dairy product, Park Na-rae exclaimed, "It's completely different! In Korea, we have cream cheese, but here it's fresh cream!" Jeon Hyun-moo praised its rich flavor, noting, "It was nutty and had a unique buffalo aroma." Meanwhile, Lee Jang-woo, not wanting to miss out, ordered more kaymak, leading Jeon Hyun-moo to jokingly call him a "kaymak monster." Park Na-rae humorously added, "Isn't he going to turn into a big white blob like kaymak tomorrow?"
Later, while exploring a flea market, Lee Jang-woo couldn't take his eyes off kokoreç, a popular Turkish dish made from lamb intestines. Jeon Hyun-moo commented, "He kept saying he wanted to eat meat. I thought he was a meat-loving child!" The three decided to indulge in kokoreç, with Park Na-rae ordering a chunk of it and Lee Jang-woo opting for a fried kokoreç sandwich. Jeon Hyun-moo noted their contrasting food preferences, declaring himself the judge of their culinary showdown.
In the end, Jeon Hyun-moo chose Park Na-rae's dish, stating, "It suited our taste better. It definitely needed that chewy texture, and the aroma was fantastic." After tasting Park Na-rae's order, Lee Jang-woo was impressed, admitting in an interview, "Honestly, what Na-rae ordered was tastier. It had all the crispy bits you find at a gopchang restaurant, and there was no smell at all."
As they wrapped up their meal and prepared to settle the bill, Lee Jang-woo hesitated, prompting Jeon Hyun-moo to pay. In the studio, Jeon Hyun-moo remarked, "I realized I spent tens of thousands of won since coming to Korea." Park Na-rae defended herself, saying, "At least I used cash," while Lee Jang-woo sheepishly apologized, leading to laughter. Key pointed out, "I saw you mime with your wallet," to which Lee Jang-woo jokingly replied, "I was just checking if I had my room key!"
