Following the allegations, the agency of THE BOYZ, 100 Entertainment, released a statement acknowledging the seriousness of the situation and confirmed Ju Haknyeon's departure from the group and termination of his contract. 

However, another media outlet later reported that the two had engaged in prostitution, prompting Ju Haknyeon to issue a handwritten letter denying any illegal activities. He stated, "I was indeed present at a drinking gathering with acquaintances on May 30, but I have never engaged in prostitution or any illegal acts as mentioned in the articles or rumors."

He emphasized, "If there is evidence of prostitution, please reveal it immediately," and clarified that he has not agreed to leave the team or terminate his contract.
