Lee Jang-woo Announces Wedding Plans with Jo Hye-won for Next Year

In the latest episode of MBC's 'Village Chief Lee Jang-woo' (시골마을 이장우), Lee Jang-woo revealed his plans to marry Jo Hye-won next year. During the show, he met with young individuals dedicated to revitalizing a traditional brewery. They examined the brewing process using microscopes, discovering that an excess of lactic acid bacteria was the reason for previous failures. Lee emphasized the importance of controlling the microorganisms in brewing, leading to a hands-on experience where they created makgeolli using both traditional and modern methods. The young brewers even experimented by adding watermelon as an ingredient.

Later, Lee welcomed guests Hong Seok-cheon and Lee Won-il to his cooking studio. Hong humorously questioned Lee about his diet and summer preparations, jokingly expressing disappointment. Upon learning about Lee's project to support the local community, he playfully sang a KBS jingle instead of an MBC one.

In front of his guests, Lee prepared dishes like steamed pork with garlic chives and savory pancakes. Feeling nervous cooking for seasoned chefs, he received encouragement from Lee Won-il, while Hong lightened the mood with jokes. Observing Lee's culinary skills, Hong asked, "With such great cooking skills, why aren't you getting married?" To which Lee responded, "I’m preparing for next year," confirming his wedding plans with Jo Hye-won.
