Lee Jang-woo and Jo Hye-won to Marry After 7 Years of Dating

Actors Lee Jang-woo (이장우) and Jo Hye-won (조혜원) are set to tie the knot after a seven-year relationship. According to reports, the couple will hold their wedding on November 23 in a private ceremony in Seoul. Having built a strong foundation of trust and affection over the years, they recently confirmed their wedding date.
Lee Jang-woo and Jo Hye-won publicly acknowledged their relationship in June 2023, after co-starring in the KBS2 weekend drama 'My Only One' (하나뿐인 내편), which concluded in March 2019. Their romance has flourished over the years, with the couple often traveling together. Recently, Jo Hye-won showed her support by visiting Lee Jang-woo's newly opened restaurant.
At the 2023 MBC Entertainment Awards, shortly after confirming their relationship, Lee Jang-woo humorously remarked while accepting an award, "My parents in Mungyeong keep pressuring me to get married. I feel like I should live alone a bit longer after receiving this award. My girlfriend is working hard, so I think we might have to postpone the wedding a little. Can I continue with 'I Live Alone' for a bit longer?" This light-hearted comment drew laughter from the audience.
When asked about Jo Hye-won's reaction to his speech on 'I Live Alone', he shared, "She was really touched. We hadn't promised to get married yet, but she appreciated my words." Just a year later, in December, during an episode of MBC's 'Village Chief Lee Jang-woo', he announced, "I am preparing for marriage next year," causing quite a stir.
In January, during an episode of MBN and Channel S's 'Plan Juhyun', he specified that he plans to marry in the fall and even asked fellow entertainer Jeon Hyun-moo to officiate or host the ceremony. Jeon Hyun-moo humorously replied, "I've never officiated a wedding before, but I can sing at it. However, the groom should sing too!"
The couple's wedding will be a private affair, attended only by close family and friends, marking a new chapter in their lives together. As they prepare for this significant milestone, many fans and well-wishers are sending their congratulations.
With the announcement of their wedding plans, speculation about Lee Jang-woo's departure from 'I Live Alone' has arisen. The show's producers previously stated that there had been no discussions regarding his exit. However, in a preview released on June 20, Lee Jang-woo hinted at a farewell, saying, "This seems to be my last time with the Palm Oil group. I feel sad and grateful for all the love and support I've received." Despite this, sources confirm that he will continue to appear on the show until his wedding.
Lee Jang-woo, born in 1986, debuted in 2006 with the drama '90 Days, Time to Love'. He has since appeared in various popular dramas, including 'Suspicious Partner', 'My Father is Strange', and 'One and Only'. He is currently known for his role as the 'Palm Oil Prince' on 'I Live Alone'. In addition to acting, he has ventured into the restaurant business with great success and is set to appear in the new MBN variety show 'Do You Know Home Cooking' in July.
Jo Hye-won, born in 1994, made her acting debut in the 2016 film 'The Last Breath' and has since starred in dramas such as 'Perfume', 'Day and Night', and 'Mine'.
