Lee Hyun Shares Experience of BTS's J-Hope as His First Radio Guest

On January 13, 2025, MBC held a press conference for new DJs at their headquarters in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Among the attendees were new DJs Yoon Sang, Lee Sang-soon, and Lee Hyun, who discussed their programs with producers Song Myung-seok, Hwang Jong-hyun, and Choi Ji-min.
Lee Hyun, who debuted as a radio DJ on November 25, 2024, made headlines when BTS's J-Hope appeared as his first guest. Reflecting on this, Lee Hyun expressed his initial disbelief, saying, "I wondered if this would actually happen, but it did. J-Hope was extremely busy with his schedule in the U.S., and I thought it would be great if one of the BTS members could come support me after their military service. J-Hope readily agreed to join."
He admitted, "Honestly, having J-Hope as my first guest was quite daunting. He is a major star and also a junior from my company, so I felt pressure and a bit of guilt about showing my inexperienced self right in front of him."
Despite the rain that day, Lee Hyun expressed gratitude for the large turnout of ARMY fans, stating, "Thanks to J-Hope's presence, I was able to host my first broadcast without being too nervous. I remember feeling thankful when he complimented me afterward, saying, 'You did really well, hyung.' I hope to see the other members come on the show one by one in the future."
'Lee Hyun's Close Friends' airs live every night from midnight to 2 AM.
