Lee Hyun Reveals Narcolepsy While Praising Her Husband's Looks on 'My Little Old Boy'

On the December 22 episode of SBS's variety show My Little Old Boy (미운 우리 새끼), model and broadcaster Lee Hyun (이현) made an appearance as a guest alongside Kim Ji-min's mother, who was part of the 'Special Mother Avengers'. During the show, Lee Hyun showcased her modeling skills, prompting host Shin Dong-yup (신동엽) to compliment her, saying, "Although she is happily married, every time I see Lee Hyun, I think my younger brothers should aspire to have a wife like her. She is incredibly charming, wise, and sharp."

Feeling shy, Lee Hyun responded, "That's too much praise," but former basketball player Seo Jang-hoon (서장훈) added, "Many men watching 'Same Bed, Different Dreams' dream of having a wife like her."

Kim Jong-kook's (김종국) mother chimed in, mentioning Lee Hyun's husband, saying, "He is handsome too," to which Lee Hyun proudly replied, "Yes, I married him for his looks." Shin Dong-yup then described her husband as "very handsome, with a vibe similar to Go Soo (고수), and he was so attractive that he even had a fan club at one point."

When a photo of Lee Hyun's husband was revealed, Kim Jong-kook's mother expressed her delight, saying, "You must be happy," which made Lee Hyun affirm, "I am happy."

In another segment, Seo Jang-hoon revealed that Lee Hyun had been diagnosed with narcolepsy, stating, "She falls asleep in about three minutes. I heard the average time to fall asleep is around four minutes. Did you experience any inconveniences in your daily life?"

Lee Hyun shared, "I have fallen asleep during arguments with my husband. He was so angry that he shook me awake, saying, 'Hey, wake up!' We fought more often in the early days of our marriage because of this. But once I got diagnosed with narcolepsy, he understood."

Seo Jang-hoon then joked to Shin Dong-yup, "I think you would actually like it if your wife had narcolepsy. She would be asleep whether you come home at 3 AM or 4 AM," to which Shin Dong-yup nodded in agreement, eliciting laughter from the audience.

Lee Hyun has been married to engineer Hong Seong-ki (홍성기) since 2012, and they have two sons together.
