Lee Hyori Reveals She Reached Out to G-Dragon

On June 28, singer Lee Hyori made a surprising confession during her appearance on the web entertainment show, Pinggaego (핑계고). When asked what she does in her free time, she revealed, "I've been reaching out to people I want to meet through DMs since I have no connections. I want to hear some musical advice as well," emphasizing that she is doing her best to communicate.

Hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yang Se-chan expressed their admiration, noting how challenging it is to send DMs. Lee Hyori shared that meeting these individuals has been rewarding, boosting her confidence. She mentioned that she has also reached out to the GroovyRoom duo and G-Dragon (GD) but hasn't been able to meet him yet.

"I plan to try again. I did get a response, so I hope to collaborate on my upcoming album," she said, to which Yoo Jae-suk responded, "It would be significant for you and GD to meet."

Lee Hyori explained that she has never collaborated with GD before and is eager to do so. She recently watched GD's appearance on You Quiz on the Block (유퀴즈) and felt a strong connection to his thoughts and experiences, noting their similarities as top stars in the music industry.

Reflecting on her own life, she expressed a sense of emptiness despite achieving fame and financial success. "I've experienced popularity and made money, but the inner loneliness and emptiness remain unfulfilled. I have a wonderful husband, yet the feeling of emptiness seems to have no reason," she pondered.

When Yoo Jae-suk asked her to elaborate on this emptiness, she shared, "It feels like something is missing. I've tried yoga, volunteered five days a week in Jeju, and even picked up trash by hand. But I still don't understand why I feel this way. I thought those experiences would help me find clarity, but they haven't," she admitted.
