Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon Donate Food to Animal Shelters

Singer Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang-soon have made headlines for their generous donation to animal shelters. On May 16, Natural Balance Korea announced via their official account that the couple donated pet food to help over 390 abandoned animals at the Anseong Pyeonggang Princess Shelter, which was running low on supplies. The couple, known for their ongoing commitment to animal welfare, purchased the food directly and contributed it to the shelter. Natural Balance also expressed their intention to collaborate with Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon for further donations to struggling animal shelters.
Photos were shared showing Lee Hyori visiting the shelter to deliver the food and participate in cleaning activities. In total, the couple donated approximately 18.5 tons of food to 17 different shelters, including Korean Dogs, KK9, and Lucy's Friends in Andong, which cares for animals affected by wildfires.
Notably, the Pyeonggang Princess Shelter is where Lee Hyori adopted her pets, Soonshim in 2010 and Mocha in 2011. After spending a decade with Soonshim, they parted ways in 2020, and Mocha, who was rescued while pregnant, passed away in 2023.
Recently, it was reported that Lee Hyori earned 4.2 billion KRW in advertising revenue over the past five months, sparking discussions among fans. However, with the news of her charitable actions, supporters have rallied behind her, affirming their admiration for the star.
