Lee Hee-jin of Baby V.O.X Shares Emotional Gratitude to Members on MBC's Show

On January 25, 2025, MBC's show 'The Manager' featured Lee Hee-jin from the iconic first-generation girl group Baby V.O.X, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her fellow members during a challenging time in her life, shedding tears in the process.

The episode showcased the preparation for Baby V.O.X's performance music video, as the group reunited to give back to their fans with a special project. After a 14-year hiatus, Baby V.O.X made a triumphant return to the stage at the 2024 KBS Gayo Daechukje Global Festival, impressing audiences with their skills and garnering over 6 million views on their performance video.

As they prepared for the music video shoot, the members engaged in a random play dance challenge featuring their hit songs like 'Yaya Ya' and 'Doll.' Despite initial concerns, their dance skills remained sharp, captivating viewers.

When the highly anticipated music video shoot commenced, the members transformed into the quintessential idols, donning contrasting black and white outfits and delivering a powerful performance of 'Why + Game Over,' which left the audience in awe. Their seamless execution belied the long break they had taken.

After filming, the members gathered for a meal, reminiscing about their past experiences. They revealed that during their peak, they often had up to 13 schedules in a single day, with some even changing luggage at Korean airports before heading off to international tours.

Shin Eun-jin remarked on the unique camaraderie they shared, stating, 'While others may misunderstand us, we had a common enemy, which forged a special bond.' Yoon Eun-hye added, 'The time we spent together as kids made us stronger.'

Lee Hee-jin reflected on her struggles, saying, 'Eun-jin and Mi-yeon would nag me, but they were the ones who saved me during my darkest times.' Kim I-ji humorously asked, 'Was that when you weighed 30 kg?' to which Shin Eun-jin responded, 'When you were really at your lowest.'

With tears in her eyes, Lee Hee-jin shared, 'I’ve been hurt by people so many times, but my members were always there to help me.' She recounted a time when Shin Eun-jin helped her recover a debt, explaining, 'It was so frustrating. Hee-jin acts tough in front of us but is really soft outside. So, I wrote a script for her to get her money back.' Lee Hee-jin affectionately called her members 'the best,' showcasing the deep bond they share.
