Lee Han-shin Issues Strong Warning to Corrupt Tycoon in Latest Episode of 'Parole Officer Lee Han-shin'

In the latest episode of tvN's drama 'Parole Officer Lee Han-shin' (가석방 심사관 이한신), which aired on December 23, 2024, actor Go Soo, portraying Lee Han-shin, made a powerful statement as he was released from jail, targeting the corrupt conglomerate chairman, Ji Dong-man (played by Song Young-chang). The episode depicted a critical moment for the 'Parole Squad' as Lee Han-shin, along with his colleagues Ahn Seo-yoon (Kwon Yu-ri) and Choi Hwa-ran (Baek Ji-won), faced severe challenges due to false drug trafficking accusations orchestrated by the Ojeong Group. Despite the dire circumstances, the team united to turn the tables, delivering a satisfying twist to viewers.

According to Nielsen Korea, the episode achieved impressive ratings, averaging 5.7% nationwide and peaking at 7.3%, securing the top spot in its time slot across all cable channels.

In this episode, Lee Han-shin and Park Jin-cheol (Lee Do-yeob) were arrested under charges similar to those previously faced by Cheon Soo-bum (Jo Seung-yeon). Ahn Seo-yoon was suspended for allegedly colluding with loan shark Choi Hwa-ran, while Choi's business faced a sudden tax investigation, compounding their troubles. The situation worsened when Ji Dong-man was released through a special pardon, escalating the crisis.

However, Lee Han-shin had anticipated these developments. He predicted Ji Dong-man's actions, including the framing of himself, and entered the detention center with a plan to expose the chairman's missteps.

Following his release, Cheon Soo-bum rallied Ahn Seo-yoon, Choi Hwa-ran, and others to initiate a petition for a re-investigation into the prison drug case. Additionally, former prosecutor Jung Wook (Park Jeong-hak) admitted to manipulating the case in a handwritten statement, while former prison warden Bae Han-seong (Ryu Tae-ho) testified to the truth at the police station. The legal team, sensing the downfall of the Ojeong Group, also joined the fight, shifting the balance of power.

Thanks to their collective efforts, Lee Han-shin was granted a release from custody, marking the beginning of revealing the Ojeong Group's role in the drug scandal. Addressing waiting reporters, he issued a stark warning: "The truth that the Ojeong Group has hidden with money and power will soon be exposed to the world."

Meanwhile, Choi Won-mi (Hwang Woo-seul-hye) was infuriated by the lack of evidence leading to the release of Ji Myeong-seob (Lee Hak-joo) in the murder case of Ahn Da-yoon (Kim Ye-na) and set out to find crucial evidence. Among the footage she had collected while preparing for her divorce from Ji Dong-man, a scene surfaced where Ji Dong-man assaulted Ji Myeong-seob on the day of Ahn Da-yoon's murder, raising questions about its potential as decisive evidence.

As 'Parole Officer Lee Han-shin' approaches its finale, all elements are aligning for a thrilling conclusion. With the 'Parole Squad' reuniting, the emergence of critical evidence from Choi Won-mi, and the betrayal of Seo Dong-hoon (Kim Min-jae), viewers are left wondering how Ji Dong-man and Ji Myeong-seob will meet their fates and what level of catharsis awaits the audience in the series finale.
