Lee Ha-nee Dedicates Award to Family at 2024 SBS Drama Awards

On December 21, the 2024 SBS Drama Awards took place at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon (Bona). During the ceremony, actress Lee Ha-nee received the Best Actor award in the seasonal drama category for her role in '열혈사제2' (The Fiery Priest 2). In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude, stating, "I actually came here today to applaud. Thank you so much for this precious award."

Lee Ha-nee reflected on the significance of '열혈사제2', saying, "This project was led by our viewers who brought us back. It’s not easy to have a season two, and I missed it for the five years we waited. I realized how precious this is while filming every day. It’s not always easy to work on such great projects with wonderful chemistry. I am truly grateful to the director and writer for allowing us to work in such an environment. I wonder if 'The Fiery Priest' would exist without our talented cast. I am thankful for these precious people, and I hope we can continue together for a lifetime."

She also shared her personal journey, saying, "Since I have someone more precious than myself now, I am clumsily practicing letting go of my ego. After pushing myself to the limit as an actor in my 30s, I am now working on completely breaking down those barriers. This is a turning point that opens a new chapter for me as an actress."

Lee Ha-nee concluded her speech by dedicating the award to her husband, Peter, and their daughter, Ari, expressing her gratitude for their support. She also thanked her parents for raising her and her fans for their unwavering support.
