Lee Chan-won Shares Candid Thoughts on KBS Entertainment Awards Nomination

At the '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards' held on December 21, trot singer Lee Chan-won expressed his honest feelings about being nominated for the grand prize. Throughout 2024, Lee Chan-won has been a prominent figure on KBS, showcasing his talents on various programs such as Immortal Songs (불후의 명곡) and Convenience Store Restaurant (편스토랑). During the event, Ye-won remarked, "Lee Chan-won seems to work harder than KBS staff themselves," highlighting his dedication.

Gwe-do added, "He seems to navigate between being a variety star and a singer, much like a physicist and an astronomer."

Despite the nomination, Lee Chan-won humbly stated, "Whenever you are nominated for any award, you can't help but feel some anticipation. However, I don't think this year is mine. I believe Yoo Jae-suk or Jeon Hyun-moo will take it home. Yoo Jae-suk has been spreading his influence internationally through the program Syncro (싱크로유)."

He also praised Jeon Hyun-moo for his chemistry with the announcers, to which Kim Jong-min playfully asked, "What about me?" Lee Chan-won humorously responded, "I don't think Kim Jong-min is a strong candidate for the award," eliciting laughter from those present.
