Lee Chan-won Expresses Emotional Connection to Music on Mister Trot 3

In the premiere episode of TV Chosun's 'Mister Trot 3' aired on December 19, singer Lee Chan-won shared his heartfelt thoughts and convictions about music. The episode featured the youth division, showcasing 11-year-old Go Eun-jun, whose impressive looks drew comparisons to Lee Chan-won himself, who had participated in 'National Singing Contest' during his childhood. Go Eun-jun passed the audition with an 'All Heart' score, living up to the expectations.

Following him, 9-year-old Park Jung-min surprised everyone with his 'cute visuals' and even shed tears during his performance, which elicited both sympathy and laughter from the judges. When asked why he cried, Park Jung-min revealed, "I cried because I was afraid of being eliminated." Boom, one of the judges, chimed in, urging everyone to remember the name of the judge, Joo Young-hoon.

Joo Young-hoon, the only judge who did not give a heart, reassured Park Jung-min, saying, "I was worried that getting too emotional might affect your breathing and singing. But remember, you haven't been eliminated." The atmosphere was so emotional that even the members of the OB team in the waiting room were moved to tears. Lee Kyung-kyu humorously remarked, "I witnessed this historical moment turn into a sea of tears. I never expected such a loud wailing!"

Next, the youngest contestant, 8-year-old Yoo Ji-woo, showcased an unexpected depth of emotion while singing Jo Hang-jo's 'Jeongnyeong,' earning him an 'All Heart' as well. Amidst the performances, Lee Chan-won was visibly moved, stating, "Does Ji-woo understand the meaning of these lyrics? I have been contemplating what song to present recently, and it seems Ji-woo has provided the answer in such a pure way. Thank you so much for that wonderful stage."
