Lee Changsub's Team Groove Shines in Universe League

On December 20, singer and musical actor Lee Changsub led Team Groove in a stunning performance during the second round of the SBS global boy group audition program, Universe League.

For this episode, Lee Changsub prepared a new song titled 'Prison' specifically tailored for Team Groove's main members. During a mid-check, he opted to simplify the choreography to ensure the vocals remained strong, showcasing the unique strengths of Team Groove. He demonstrated techniques to help the members grow, earning their trust as they expressed, "Director Lee Changsub helps us maintain our mental strength. He balances encouragement with constructive criticism, ensuring we protect both our mindset and our skills."

Lee Changsub provided personalized lessons, emphasizing the importance of unity with phrases like, "We can't take off too soon," and, "Think of it as a relay race." He even humorously checked Kenta's abs as a secret weapon to grab attention, jokingly advising him, "Don't gain weight!"

Before the performance, he motivated the members, saying, "Go out there and do what you’ve practiced. This is your song. Don’t think about losing it." With his support, Team Groove delivered a captivating stage filled with sexy charm and powerful vocals, ultimately securing victory. Lee Changsub expressed relief and joy as he celebrated with his team.

Meanwhile, Team Groove's bench showcased their new song 'MAMMA MIA' with a sexy performance that highlighted their maturity, challenging the main team. After the stage, Lee Changsub expressed satisfaction, stating, "There was definitely nothing to regret," and displayed his sportsmanship by comforting the opposing team after their loss.

With both the main and bench teams of Team Groove achieving victory, they also garnered overwhelming support in the fan voting, leading to their final win in the second round.

In addition to his role in Universe League, Lee Changsub is currently receiving acclaim for his solo concert tour, 'The Wayfarer,' which continues in Daegu on December 21 and 22, Suwon on December 28 and 29, and Cheongju on January 4 and 5, with a performance scheduled in Taiwan on February 2, 2025.
