Lee Chan Hyuk Releases Second Studio Album 'EROS'

Lee Chan Hyuk's highly anticipated second studio album, EROS, was released today (July 14) at 6 PM. This marks his first solo album in nearly two years and nine months since his debut album, ERROR, and it showcases a more refined musical landscape that has garnered significant attention.

While ERROR explored the theme of 'the last moments of life,' EROS delves deeper into the emotions surrounding 'the death of others.' The album reflects on the inner void amplified by the absence of cherished individuals and presents a personal acceptance of this loss through his unique musical expression.

The title track, 'Vivid La La Love,' poses the question of whether true and ideal love exists. With Lee Chan Hyuk's signature calm tone, the lyrics are complemented by a rhythmic drum beat and funky bass, creating an engaging listening experience.

The album features a diverse tracklist that showcases a wide range of musical styles. 'SINNY SINNY' combines a dystopian atmosphere with an uplifting melody, while 'I’m Going Crazy,' influenced by 1980s and 90s retro synthesizers, addresses themes of loss and emotional fractures, setting the narrative tone for EROS.

Other notable tracks include 'TV Show,' which has a sound reminiscent of a television program, 'Endangered Love,' evoking nostalgia from the 1960s and 70s, 'Eve,' which captures the lively essence of New Jack Swing, 'Andrew,' a calm and static piece, 'Tail,' with its dreamy ambiance, and 'Shining World,' featuring unique vocoder sounds. The album is packed with nine tracks, each rich in color and depth.

Once again, Lee Chan Hyuk has taken on the role of lyricist and composer for all tracks, promising an album filled with intricate storytelling and distinctive emotions. Collaborating with him are Millennium and Sihwang, who have previously contributed to many of his hit songs, ensuring a high level of quality and synergy.

In addition, Lee Chan Hyuk's group, AKMU, will hold the '2025 AKMU STANDING CONCERT [악동들]' from August 8 to 24 at the Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The concert will feature nine performances over three weeks, each with a different setlist, generating excitement among fans.
