LE SSERAFIM Wraps Up Surprise Music Show Activities

LE SSERAFIM (르세라핌), consisting of Kim Chaewon (김채원), Sakura (사쿠라), Heo Yunjin (허윤진), Kazuha (카즈하), and Hong Eunchae (홍은채), successfully concluded their surprise music show activities. Starting on July 3, they performed the English version of their title track 'DIFFERENT' from their fourth Japanese single on Mnet's 'M Countdown', KBS2's 'Music Bank', and SBS's 'Inkigayo'.

In an interview with the MCs, the group expressed their excitement, stating, "We prepared this special stage because our fans, FEARNOT, wanted to see the song released in Japan performed in Korea. We are thrilled to be able to perform thanks to the love from our fans." They also added, "Once you taste it, you will never forget it, so please look forward to it!" showing their confidence.

Each performance showcased different styling, including military outfits, oversized shirts, and denim accents, adding visual interest. Their stunning visuals, relaxed stage presence, and harmonious choreography captivated the audience. As of 6 AM on July 7, their performance video on the Mnet K-POP YouTube channel surpassed 340,000 views, highlighting the group's popularity even during this special activity.

LE SSERAFIM's fourth Japanese single 'DIFFERENT' topped the daily Oricon singles chart on June 23. In its first week, it sold 132,732 copies, securing the second position on both the weekly singles chart and the weekly combined singles chart. The title track has also received significant love across various charts, maintaining a spot on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Japan' for 26 consecutive days. Additionally, it ranked second on Billboard Japan's comprehensive song chart 'Hot 100' for the period of June 23-29, marking the highest position for their original song in Japan.

Looking ahead, LE SSERAFIM will release the music video for 'Kawaii (Prod. Gen Hoshino)', a track from their fourth Japanese single, at midnight on July 9. This song, produced by top Japanese artist Gen Hoshino, features English lyrics written by Heo Yunjin and serves as the theme song for the Netflix series 'My Melody & Kuromi', designed to captivate listeners worldwide by reflecting the animation's universe.
