LE SSERAFIM Returns with Their Fifth Mini Album 'HOT'

On March 14, 2025, the K-pop group LE SSERAFIM held a showcase for their fifth mini album, 'HOT', at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. This marks their return to the music scene after approximately seven months since their previous mini album, 'CRAZY', released in August 2024.

During the event, members Heo Yunjin, Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Hong Eunchae, and Kazuha shared their thoughts on the new album. Heo Yunjin expressed, "We prepared this album with the lessons learned from various experiences last year. We will give our all in our activities." Hong Eunchae added, "This mini album 'HOT' is one that I prepared with a fresh mindset as I turn twenty."

Sakura reflected on their previous title track 'CRAZY', stating, "'CRAZY' has received so much love that it even made a comeback on the charts, and we want to meet those expectations with this new release."

The album 'HOT' encapsulates LE SSERAFIM's passionate approach to love, serving as the final installment of a trilogy that began with 'EASY' and continued with 'CRAZY'. While 'EASY' dealt with the anxieties behind the scenes, and 'CRAZY' encouraged letting go of those fears, 'HOT' takes it a step further by embracing love wholeheartedly, showcasing the group's growth and resilience.

Kim Chaewon noted, "Many people think being cynical and cool is impressive, but we believe that immersing ourselves in love and being passionate is even more beautiful. This album contains many autobiographical messages. I tend to try things without worrying about the outcome, which resonates well with the album's message."

Heo Yunjin mentioned, "We infused our 'hot' feelings into this album, reflecting the emotions and thoughts we experienced during our previous activities. Hong Eunchae emphasized that every moment dedicated to LE SSERAFIM is a 'hot' moment for them, stating, "Since our debut, we have often talked about moving forward without fear, and I feel that the emotions we experienced during 'EASY' and 'CRAZY' are well represented in 'HOT'."

The title track 'HOT' is particularly noteworthy as it marks LE SSERAFIM's first love song. The lyrics convey a message of diving into love without hesitation, even if the outcome is uncertain. The song features a melodic blend of rock and disco elements, creating a unique sound that stands out among their previous tracks.

Heo Yunjin shared her excitement about participating in the album's creation, stating, "I was thrilled to be involved. We went through numerous revisions, and it was quite challenging, but we worked hard to capture the right feeling."

The choreography for 'HOT' is designed to reflect the song's emotions rather than adhering to a specific dance genre, promising a captivating performance. Kim Chaewon mentioned a unique move that resembles a jacket toss, while Hong Eunchae shared her struggles with the moonwalk, expressing her concerns about the final pose.

As they prepare for their first world tour, '2025 LE SSERAFIM Tour: EASY CRAZY HOT', the group is eager to connect with fans worldwide. Sakura expressed her desire to deliver a great performance, especially after missing their concert in Thailand during their Asia tour.

With their debut in 2022, LE SSERAFIM has already reached their third year as a group. Sakura reflected on their journey, stating, "I can't believe it's been three years. I appreciate the opportunity to explore various music genres and feel like I'm growing. I realized that the process is more important than the outcome, and as long as we give our best, we can influence the results."
