K-Pop Stars Unite to Support Wildfire Victims in South Korea

In response to the devastating wildfires affecting regions such as Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan, several K-Pop artists have stepped up to provide financial support. On March 30, the Korean Red Cross announced that singer Hwang Young-woong donated 100 million KRW to aid wildfire victims, earning him a spot on the organization's list of major donors. His fan club, 'Paradise,' also contributed 40 million KRW to the cause.
Hwang expressed his empathy, stating, "I cannot imagine the pain of watching one's home consumed by flames. I will quietly share in that suffering until the situation is restored."
Additionally, singer Kim Hee-jae donated 50 million KRW under the name 'Kim Hee-jae and Hee-rang Star' to assist those affected by the fires. He shared, "I wanted to convey warm thoughts to those who have lost their daily lives due to this unexpected disaster. This donation is meaningful as it comes from my fans, 'Hee-rang Star,' who are always with me. I hope our small gesture can provide strength to someone in need."
Kim Hee-jae and his fandom have consistently donated in each disaster, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact.
Singer and actress Kim Se-jeong also joined the efforts by donating 20 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. This contribution has earned her a membership in the 'Hope Bridge Honours Club,' a network for major individual donors. Kim Se-jeong stated, "I hope this donation can provide some support to those suffering from the wildfire damage and that they can return to their safe daily lives soon. I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters and officials working on the front lines."
Popular YouTuber and broadcaster Jjayang also donated 20 million KRW through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, expressing her condolences to the victims and appreciation for the firefighters' dedication.
