K-Pop Stars Express Solidarity After Earthquake in Thailand

K-pop idols from Thailand, including Lisa of BLACKPINK and Chikita from BABYMONSTER, have expressed their condolences following a devastating earthquake that struck their homeland. On March 29, Lisa took to her personal social media to share, "Sending prayers to everyone affected by the earthquake. Please stay safe."
The earthquake, which registered a magnitude of 7.7, originated from central Myanmar on March 28, causing significant casualties not only in Myanmar but also in neighboring Southeast Asian countries. In Thailand, a tragic incident occurred when a 30-story building under construction in Bangkok collapsed, resulting in the entrapment of 117 construction workers, with reports indicating that five have lost their lives.
As a major hub for K-pop, Thailand is home to many idols who have reached global fame. Alongside Lisa, other K-pop stars have also reached out to their fans. Nickhun from 2PM shared a message in Thai saying, "Everyone, please stay safe." Minnie from (G)I-DLE also posted similar sentiments to comfort fans. Rising star Chikita from BABYMONSTER added her voice, wishing safety for all those in Thailand. The heartfelt messages from these artists resonate not only with local fans but also with their international supporters, showcasing the strong bond within the K-pop community during difficult times.
