K-Pop Groups Stray Kids and SEVENTEEN Set to Shine at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards

K-Pop groups Stray Kids and SEVENTEEN are gearing up to make their mark at the '2024 Billboard Music Awards' (BBMAs), taking place on December 13 at 10 AM KST in Los Angeles, USA. Both groups will perform at this prestigious event, which is recognized as one of the four major music award ceremonies in the United States, alongside the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.

The BBMAs selects nominees based on data from album and digital sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring, and social engagement over the past year, along with Billboard chart performance. Following the introduction of a K-Pop category last year, numerous K-Pop groups have received nominations this year.

Stray Kids, who won the Top K-Pop Album award last year, is nominated again this year for Top K-Pop Album and Top Global K-Pop Artist, as well as Top Duo/Group, competing against global acts like blink-182, Coldplay, Fuerza Regida, and Linkin Park. They will also perform two of their hit songs, showcasing their energetic stage presence for the second consecutive year.

BTS (방탄소년단) members Jimin (지민) and Jungkook (정국) have also been nominated for the BBMAs for two years in a row, highlighting their ongoing global popularity. Jungkook, who won the Top Global K-Pop Song award last year, is nominated in six categories this year, including Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top Global K-Pop Song, Top K-Pop Album, Top Selling Song, and Top Song Sales Artist, making him the most nominated K-Pop artist at the BBMAs this year. Jimin is also a finalist in the Top Global K-Pop Artist and Top Global K-Pop Song categories.

SEVENTEEN, also set to perform at the BBMAs, will present their title track 'LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)' from their 12th mini album. They are nominated for the Top K-Pop Touring Artist award as well.

Additionally, Tomorrow X Together (투모로우바이투게더) has received nominations in three categories: Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top K-Pop Touring Artist, and Top K-Pop Album. ENHYPEN is nominated in two categories: Top Global K-Pop Artist and Top K-Pop Touring Artist, while ATEEZ is nominated for Top K-Pop Album. LE SSERAFIM and ILY:1 are both nominated for Top Global K-Pop Song.

The 2024 BBMAs will be broadcast on FOX and Amazon Fire TV, with streaming available later on Paramount+.
