K-Pop Girl Group Takes the World by Storm with 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'

A K-Pop girl group is captivating audiences worldwide as they save the world in the new Netflix series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'. According to Flix Patrol, the show reached the number one spot in the global series category just one day after its release on June 21, 2025. It has topped charts in 22 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, signaling a potential long-term success.
'K-Pop Demon Hunters' is an action-fantasy animation featuring K-Pop superstars Lumi (루미), Mira (미라), and Joy (조이) as hidden heroes protecting the world behind their dazzling performances. When not performing in front of packed stadiums, these brave demon hunters defend people from supernatural threats lurking nearby. However, their lives take a turn when a charming boy group appears, and they discover that these newcomers are concealing a dark secret as demons. To confront this unprecedented danger, the trio embarks on an irreversible battle.
The series features Ahn Hyo-seop (안효섭), known for his roles in 'Your Time Is Up' and 'Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim' Season 2, making his debut in English dubbing. Lee Byung-hun (이병헌) takes on the role of the intense villain 'Gwi-ma' and has received praise for expanding the horizons of voice acting. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation, known for films like 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' and 'Hotel Transylvania', the show also features an OST with contributions from TWICE members Jeongyeon (정연), Jihyo (지효), and Chaeyoung (채영). Additionally, the series incorporates Korean cultural elements such as Namsan Seoul Tower, traditional tiled houses, and grim reapers, enhancing the viewing experience.
