Koyote's Shinji Responds to Fan Concerns Amid Upcoming Marriage to Moon Won

Shinji (신지), a member of the mixed group Koyote (코요태), and her fiancé Moon Won (문원), who is also a singer, have recently revealed his divorce, sparking concern among fans. In a video posted on her YouTube channel 'What Do You Think?' on July 2, Shinji humorously asked, "Who would take my Shinji away?" while introducing Moon Won to fellow group members Kim Jong-min (김종민) and Baekga (빽가).

During the introduction, Moon Won disclosed that he has a daughter from a previous marriage, stating, "I was married once and have a lovely daughter. My ex-wife is raising her, but we communicate and try to care for her together." He expressed that he initially kept his past a secret from Shinji but felt compelled to be honest as their relationship deepened. He mentioned that Shinji's supportive words, "I can embrace you because I like you and love you," gave him significant strength.

Shinji acknowledged that there might be concerns from fans but noted that Moon Won's sense of responsibility was appealing to her. She remarked, "He is not someone who neglects his responsibilities; he cares for his child, and that aspect is admirable to me. It made me think he could show that same care to me as well."

Following the video's release, fans took to YouTube comments, social media, and online communities to express their worries. Some pointed out Moon Won's comments about Shinji's fame, while others left messages on her Instagram urging her to reconsider the marriage. One fan advised, "Sister, as a fan, please choose wisely. Dating and marriage are different. I respect your judgment and hope you find happiness." Shinji replied with a simple, "Thank you," and liked supportive comments from her fans.

In the meantime, Shinji and Moon Won, who is seven years her junior, have completed their wedding photoshoot and are set to tie the knot next year.
