Koyote's Shinji Responds to Fan Concerns Amid Upcoming Marriage

Shinji (신지), a member of the mixed group Koyote (코요태), and her fiancé Moon Won (문원) have recently revealed his divorce, sparking concern among fans. In a video posted on her YouTube channel 'What Do You Think?' on July 2, Shinji humorously asked, "Who would take my Shinji away?" while introducing Moon Won to fellow members Kim Jong-min (김종민) and Baekga (빽가).
During the introduction, Moon Won disclosed his past marriage, stating, "I was married once and have a lovely daughter. My ex-wife is raising her, but we communicate and try to co-parent effectively." He expressed that he initially kept this information from Shinji but felt it was important to be honest as their relationship deepened. He shared that Shinji's supportive words, "I can embrace you because I like you and love you," gave him strength.
Shinji acknowledged that there might be concerns from fans but noted that Moon Won's sense of responsibility was appealing to her. She appreciated his commitment to caring for his child, saying, "He’s not someone who ignores his responsibilities; he genuinely wants to protect his child, which I find admirable. I can see that he can show me that side as well."
Following the video’s release, fans took to social media and online communities to express their worries. Some pointed out Moon Won's comments about Shinji's fame, while others left messages on her Instagram urging her to reconsider the marriage. One fan advised, "Sister, as a fan, please choose wisely when it comes to men. Dating and marriage are different. I respect your judgment and hope you find happiness." Shinji replied with a simple, "Thank you." She also liked supportive comments from fans.
In the meantime, Shinji and her seven-year-younger fiancé Moon Won have completed their wedding photoshoot and are set to tie the knot next year.
