Koyote's Shinji Expresses Regret Over Controversy Surrounding Her Fiancé

Shinji (신지) of the long-standing mixed group Koyote (코요태) recently addressed the controversy surrounding her fiancé, Moon Won (문원), during an appearance on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (유퀴즈 온 더 블록). The episode aired on July 16, featuring Koyote members Kim Jong-min (김종민), Shinji, and Baekga (빽가).

Shinji expressed her concern for her fellow members, stating, "I think they must be upset because the situation regarding my marriage is taking a negative turn. To me, Koyote is family. Koyote is Shinji, and Shinji is Koyote. We are now naturally connected." She added, "I worry that my situation might harm the team. I see all the comments and reactions, and the phrases 'You ruined Koyote' and 'You caused this failure' are the most frightening and painful to me."

She continued, "We are strong, but I fear that my actions might lead to the members being disliked as well. Jong-min oppa (오빠) told me, 'We started with nothing. You have us,' which gave me strength."

Kim Jong-min supported Shinji, saying, "It must have been hard for you to accept external issues while protecting Koyote since childhood. From now on, I hope you focus more on your own happiness."

Baekga shared an emotional moment, revealing, "My phone's wallpaper is a picture of Koyote. While showering, I played Lee Seung-hwan's song 'Family' (가족), and I felt like I was going to cry. Over the past 20 years with Koyote, I realized how much I care for the members and Shinji, something I didn't even know about myself."

Shinji is set to marry her younger fellow singer Moon Won next year. Previously, Moon Won stirred up discussions by revealing on YouTube that he has a child from a previous marriage.
