Koyote's Kim Jong-min Announces Wedding Date with Younger Partner

Kim Jong-min, a member of the popular group Koyote, has officially announced his upcoming marriage. He will tie the knot with his 11-year-younger partner on April 20. The ceremony will be hosted by comedian Yoo Jae-suk, marking a new chapter in Kim's life.

During the January 12 episode of KBS 2TV's variety show 1 Night 2 Days (1박 2일), Kim revealed the wedding date himself. After deciding to marry, he sought the help of fellow comedian Jo Se-ho, who had recently gotten married, to choose a wedding planner and prepare for the big day.

Kim appeared particularly nervous during the show's opening, resembling a press conference as he stated, "Today, I have an announcement to make. I pondered a lot about whether it would be today or another day. I never expected today would be the day."

He then joyfully declared, "I’m getting married!" which prompted applause and cheers from his fellow cast members. Dindin, another member, exclaimed, "Finally! You’ve been talking about getting married all last year, and now it’s happening!" The other members expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thank you, future sister-in-law!"

Kim confirmed the wedding date, stating, "I’m officially announcing it today. The date is April 20 at 6 PM." Jo Se-ho played a significant role in Kim's announcement, sharing, "We had many discussions about marriage, and I introduced him to the wedding planner I used."

He also shared some details about the wedding, mentioning that there will be two hosts: Yoo Jae-suk for the first part and Moon Se-yoon and Jo Se-ho for the second part. Regarding their honeymoon, Kim revealed they are considering various locations in southern France.

The other members jokingly asked if they would be skipping their 1 Night 2 Days schedule for the honeymoon, with Lee Joon adding, "We’ve been doing this for 17 years; can we tag along?" Kim just smiled, enjoying the moment.

Previously, Kim had shared his relationship with a non-celebrity who is 11 years younger, generating interest in his marriage plans. He had introduced his girlfriend on 1 Night 2 Days, describing her as 162 cm tall with long hair and a pure style.

He recounted their meeting, saying, "I was introduced to her by an acquaintance. She initially showed no interest, but after seeing me in person, she said I looked cuter than on TV. That caught my attention. I got her contact information and asked her out first." Kim had been cautious about revealing details about his relationship, making this public mention a clear indication of his marriage intentions.

Additionally, Kim has been proactive about his future family plans, discussing his desire for children on the Channel A program, Current Men's Life - Groom Class (요즘 남자 라이프 - 신랑수업). He expressed, "I want to be a good husband and father," adding that he hopes their future child will resemble his girlfriend.
