Koyote Celebrates Double Joy with Weddings and Comeback Announcement

Koyote, South Korea's longest-running co-ed group, is experiencing a wave of exciting news. Members Kim Jong-min (김종민) and Shin Ji (신지) have both announced their upcoming marriages, and the group is set to make a comeback with a new album in August, alongside confirmed overseas concerts.
According to reports from June 24, Koyote is actively working on their new album, aiming for a comeback on August 7. The members have recently begun intensive songwriting sessions, teasing new music that aligns with the summer season.
The timing of their comeback is particularly joyous, as just a day prior, Shin Ji shared on social media that she had completed wedding photos with her fiancé, the 7-year-younger singer Moon Won (문원), ahead of their wedding next year. She stated, "Before Koyote's activities and tour schedules ramp up, I hurriedly did the wedding shoot. I will share the wedding news next year personally."
Earlier this year, on April 11, Kim Jong-min quietly tied the knot with a businesswoman who is 11 years his junior. With both members embarking on new life chapters after 27 years of friendship, fans are now curious about the marriage plans of the remaining member, Baekga (빽가). Kim Jong-min humorously remarked, "Now that I’m married, isn’t it time for Shin Ji and Baekga to share good news too?" With Shin Ji's announcement, part of that jest has become reality.
Additionally, Koyote will hold a concert at the ENMORE THEATRE in Sydney, Australia, on August 3, marking a significant step in their global activities. Following this, they will embark on a domestic tour from September through the end of the year, allowing them to connect with fans.
Last November, Koyote showcased a fresh musical direction with their single "Four Seasons (사계)," embracing a modern rock style. Their consistent album releases each year affirm their status as a prominent active group in the industry. Fans are eagerly anticipating their new transformation and challenges with this summer comeback.
With weddings, a comeback, and overseas concerts, Koyote is celebrating a triple joy. Since their debut in 1998, they have never disbanded, and their authenticity continues to earn the support and trust of fans over the years. As the members find harmony between personal happiness and group activities, Koyote is poised to shine brightly in the summer of 2024.
