Korean Star Gu Jun-yeop to Transport Late Wife Seo Hee-won to Taiwan

Gu Jun-yeop, a member of the Korean duo Clon, is set to personally transport the remains of his late wife, Seo Hee-won, to Taiwan. According to local Taiwanese media, Seo's family plans to cremate her body in Japan before bringing her ashes to Taiwan, although the details of a farewell ceremony have yet to be finalized.

Reports indicate that Seo Hee-won, who had a strong desire for beauty and maintained her fair complexion through anticoagulants, will be honored with a makeup session by her favorite artist and dressed in her most cherished clothing for the farewell ceremony.

However, Japanese funeral laws posed a challenge, as they require that bodies be cremated within three days. Consequently, Seo's family had no choice but to cremate her in Japan and transport her ashes to Taiwan.

The family has arranged for the transportation of her remains via China Airlines and EVA Air. While most airlines treat ashes as cargo, these two allow family members to purchase tickets for the remains to be transported in the cabin, enabling them to accompany the ashes on the flight.

As a result, Gu Jun-yeop is expected to personally oversee the transfer of Seo Hee-won's remains to Taiwan. It has been reported that he bid her farewell with a deep kiss after she passed away on February 2 during a trip to Japan due to acute pneumonia at the age of 48.

Gu Jun-yeop and Seo Hee-won had a brief relationship in 1998 before parting ways. Seo later married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2011, with whom she had two children, but they divorced in 2021. After Gu reached out to Seo following her divorce, the couple reunited and married in 2022. Tragically, Seo's life was cut short just months later.
