Korean Singer Koo Jun-yup Shares Heartfelt Message After Wife's Passing

Koo Jun-yup, a member of the Korean duo Clon, has expressed his deep sorrow following the passing of his wife, Taiwanese star Seohui Won. On February 6, he took to his personal social media to share his feelings after the loss, stating, "The time I spent with Seohui was an invaluable gift that I would not trade for anything in the world. I believe my last duty is to protect her beloved family."
He also addressed the recent controversies surrounding Seohui's estate, clarifying his stance. Koo mentioned, "All of her assets were accumulated through her hard work to protect her family, and I intend to give all rights to my mother-in-law. I will take legal measures to ensure that our children’s rights are protected until they reach adulthood, preventing any malicious interference."
Given Seohui's ongoing legal disputes with Wang So-bi, there are opinions suggesting that Koo may inherit her civil lawsuits, and he has stated he will not back down from fighting for custody of their children.
About an hour after his initial post, Koo shared further thoughts via his story, emphasizing, "Reposting about the Chinese post could lead to misunderstandings. I hope that the children’s rightful inheritance is properly protected under the supervision of a lawyer."
Koo Jun-yup and Seohui Won had a romantic relationship in the early 2000s but separated. After 20 years, they reunited in 2022 and married in March of the same year. Tragically, just before their third wedding anniversary, Koo lost his wife to acute pneumonia. In a phone interview, he expressed his grief, stating, "I am not okay," confirming the heartbreaking news was not a rumor.
