Korean Rapper Gil Announces Return to Activities After DUI Incidents

Gil (길), a 46-year-old rapper known for being part of the duo Leessang, has announced his return to the entertainment scene after a period of self-imposed hiatus following three DUI incidents. On the 28th, he took to social media to mention his past experiences with popular MC Yoo Jae-suk (유재석) from the MBC show Infinite Challenge (무한도전), stating, "Ten years ago, I was struck twice by MC Yoo Jae-suk and then vanished like a ghost. Did the production team manage to find me? I hope everyone tunes in to find out." This announcement coincided with the launch of his YouTube channel.

In the promotional image shared, it read, "A man who has never been hit even once in his life. He returns after living without a flaw. The invincible one commands the clowns to rise. A decade has passed, and now everyone, let it be known to the world about the launch of Gil Seong-jun's channel!"

Gil introduced his YouTube channel using the '금강불괴' character he portrayed during various special episodes of Infinite Challenge.

From 2004 to 2017, Gil faced legal issues due to DUI charges on three separate occasions, leading to interruptions in his career. Although he made appearances in shows like Eye Contact (아이콘택트) and Dad's Color (아빠본색) in 2020, he has since been absent from the broadcasting scene.

On the 29th, he uploaded a meditation video to his channel, stating, "Meditation is not just a break; it’s a time to listen to your inner voice and confront yourself seriously. I hope this video brings you a moment of lightheartedness."
