Koh Hyun-jung and Ryu Un Captivate in 'Namib' Premiere

In the premiere episode of the Genie TV original drama 'Namib' on December 23, Koh Hyun-jung's character, Kang Soo-hyun, is seen desperately searching for Ryu Un's character, Yoo Jin-woo, who is lost before a live broadcast. Upon entering the Star Rise waiting room, Kang Soo-hyun checks the cue sheet and realizes Yoo Jin-woo is missing. She finds him on the rooftop of the building and brings him back to the stage. However, when the music starts, Yoo Jin-woo remains silent, prompting Kang Soo-hyun to look at him with concern as he questions, 'Can I trust you, CEO?'
The episode also delves into Kang Soo-hyun's past at Pandora Entertainment, where she scrutinizes trainees while preparing for an audition program. She emphasizes that high scores alone do not guarantee a spot on the show. Notably, she mentions going to a factory after receiving a call, drawing attention.
As she manages the idol group, she warns, 'Do you have time to go to clubs and get photographed? Be careful; I can no longer protect you.'
Additionally, the episode reveals the struggles of her son, Shim Jin-woo (Lee Jin-woo), who faces bullying at school due to his hearing impairment. Kang Soo-hyun gives money to a friend who helps her son, but this leads to conflict when troublemakers attempt to take the money. As she tries to resolve her son's issues, Jin-woo is left shocked upon discovering the truth.
Meanwhile, Yoo Jin-woo is portrayed as a long-term trainee at Pandora Entertainment, barely managing to survive while selling photos of senior idols for pocket money.
