KM Chart Reveals Nominees for 2024 Season Best Winter Awards

On January 2, 2025, KM Chart announced the nominees for the '2024 KM Chart Season Best Winter' awards, highlighting the top K-MUSIC artists and songs from the fourth quarter of 2024. The list features prominent names such as G-Dragon (지드래곤), Stray Kids (스트레이 키즈), Young Tak (영탁), and Lim Young Woong (임영웅), indicating a fierce competition ahead.

The '2024 Season Best Winter' awards will honor the most popular artists and tracks from October to December 2024. This year, KM Chart has expanded the categories from six to seven, adding a special category for 'BEST TROT'.

In the 'BEST K-MUSIC' category, 22 songs are nominated, including 'Pleasure Shop' by SHINee's Key (샤이니 키), 'SuperSuper' by Young Tak, 'Shower' by Eclipse (이클립스), 'Warmth' by Lim Young Woong, 'HOME SWEET HOME' by G-Dragon, 'I'll be there' by Jin (진) of BTS (방탄소년단), 'Strategy' by TWICE (트와이스), 'SOS' by Fifty Fifty (피프티피프티), and 'NA' by Hwasa (화사).

The 'BEST K-MUSIC ARTIST' category includes 20 nominees, featuring Le Sserafim (르세라핌), V (뷔) of BTS, Stray Kids, Lee Chan Won (이찬원), and Tomorrow X Together (투모로우바이투게더).

In the 'BEST HOT CHOICE' category, the male section includes 14 nominees such as Seventeen (세븐틴), ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, and Jin & J-Hope (진·제이홉) of BTS, while the female section features 18 nominees including Dreamcatcher, VIVIZ, Secret Number, Tzuyu (쯔위) of TWICE, Choi Yena (최예나), Kep1er, and Fromis 9 (프로미스나인).

For the 'BEST ROOKIE' category, seven male groups including RISE, SODIAC, TOURS, and ENHYPEN are competing, while eight female groups such as BILLIE, ILY:1, Odd Eye, and IZN are vying for the top rookie title.

The special 'BEST TROT' category is expected to be highly competitive, with 15 nominees including Park Ji Hyun (박지현), Son Tae Jin (손태진), Song Ga In (송가인), Jang Min Ho (장민호), Jeong Dong Won (정동원), Hong Jin Young (홍진영), Yoon Jun Hyup (윤준협), and Jin Wook (진욱).

Winners in each category will be determined based on KM Chart data scores, evaluations from a panel of experts, and preference survey results. Artists who secure first place in their respective categories will automatically be nominated for the 'Universal Golden Best' at the 2025 Universal Superstar Awards (2025 USA).

Due to the national mourning period following the tragic Jeju Air incident on December 29, KM Chart has adjusted the schedule for preference surveys, which will now take place from January 5 to 18 through the 'My One Pick' and 'Idol Champ' applications.
