Kim Yang Remembers Late Trot Legend Song Dae-kwan

On February 7, singer Kim Yang took to social media to pay tribute to the late trot legend Song Dae-kwan, who passed away earlier that day. In a heartfelt post, she expressed her deep sorrow, stating, "Song Dae-kwan sunbaenim was like a father to me in the music industry."
Reflecting on her personal loss, Kim Yang shared, "Around this time last year, my father passed away, and now I have to say goodbye to Song Dae-kwan sunbaenim. Losing two fathers feels incredibly empty."
She also revealed her recent health struggles, mentioning that she underwent open surgery for uterine fibroids, which prevented her from visiting him in his final moments. "It breaks my heart that I couldn't be there," she lamented.
Kim Yang acknowledged the significant impact Song Dae-kwan had on her career, stating, "If it weren't for him, I would never have gained this level of recognition as Kim Yang. I am grateful, sorry, and I love you. May he rest in peace."
Song Dae-kwan passed away from a heart attack at around 10 AM. His funeral is being held at the Seoul National University Hospital, with the burial site at Seoul Memorial Park. The funeral service is scheduled for 11 AM on February 9.
