Kim Won-hee Meets Client Suffering from Cerebral Hemorrhage on Wonderland
In the latest episode of SBS TV's Health Tech! Kim Won-hee's Wonderland (김원희의 원더랜드), aired on February 11, 2025, host Kim Won-hee met a client who is enduring the aftermath of a cerebral hemorrhage and hemiplegia. The client shared that after preparing 400 cabbages for kimjang (the traditional Korean practice of making kimchi), he suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed, later waking up in the hospital. Following medical examinations, he was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage. Although he regained consciousness, he struggled with speech and experienced paralysis on his left side.
Through consistent rehabilitation, he has made some progress in speaking, but the left-sided paralysis remains largely unchanged. His health assets are estimated to be around a negative 130 million won, highlighting his difficult situation.
Experts observing the client's daily life identified several harmful habits that could worsen his vascular condition. Notably, he has not utilized his paralyzed limbs in daily activities and has been consuming excessive amounts of unsaturated fatty acids.
Adding to the tragedy, the client revealed that his spouse also passed away from a cerebral hemorrhage seven years ago. He recounted, "My husband collapsed, and a year and a half later, I also fell ill. I took care of him with one hand, even changing his diapers."
