Kim Tae-won's Heartfelt Video Call with Future Son-in-Law Devin

On January 27, the TV show 'Love Gurus of Joseon' aired a touching moment as Kim Tae-won met his American future son-in-law, Devin, via video call. Kim Tae-won's daughter, Seo-hyun, is preparing for her upcoming wedding, but due to a past marijuana conviction, Kim was unable to obtain a U.S. visa and travel to meet Devin in person. Instead, the show's production team facilitated the video call.

When Seo-hyun's new apartment in Manhattan, New York, was revealed, fellow cast members Kim Gook-jin and Kang Soo-ji expressed their astonishment, estimating the rent to be over 3 million won.

During the video call, Devin caught attention with his charming looks reminiscent of singer Eric. Kim Tae-won appeared nervous as he prepared to ask questions in English, while Devin greeted him in Korean, showing his effort to connect.

Seo-hyun shared her experience of living with Devin during the COVID-19 pandemic, stating, "I faced dangerous situations, but living with Devin has helped me a lot, especially since I struggled with depression since I was 14." She became emotional as she received a congratulatory message from her father, Kim Tae-won.
