Kim Tae-hyun Proposes to Seo Jeong-hee on 'Joseon's Love Fool'

In the latest episode of TV Chosun's reality show 'Joseon's Love Fool' aired on February 17, Kim Tae-hyun opened up about his painful past and received the blessing of Seo Jeong-hee's mother for their marriage.

Seo Jeong-hee, who is six years older than Kim Tae-hyun, has been in a relationship with him for four years, and they are currently living together. The couple is planning to tie the knot in May this year, but they have yet to receive formal approval from their parents. Although they have been granted permission to date, this is the first time they are seeking approval for marriage, and they expressed uncertainty about how their families would react to the wedding plans.

Kim Tae-hyun, known for his romantic gestures like buying flowers, humorously referred to Seo Jeong-hee as his 'second love,' which made her mother laugh, saying she likes him even more than her daughter. Kim Tae-hyun reminisced about the time before they officially started dating, stating that Seo Jeong-hee's mother had always been supportive of their relationship, treating him like a son. Seo Jeong-hee also mentioned that she felt comfortable introducing him to her family, as they had been observing their relationship for a long time.

During the episode, Seo Jeong-hee prompted Kim Tae-hyun to speak up, and he announced his intention to have a small wedding with close friends and family later this year. He asked for her mother's permission, promising to take care of Seo Jeong-hee and live happily together. Her mother responded positively, expressing gratitude and stating that as long as he protects her daughter, she couldn't ask for more.

However, Kim Tae-hyun revealed that his parents had opposed their relationship from the beginning. He shared that due to his past failed marriages, his family advised him to remain single, which made him feel guilty for putting Seo Jeong-hee in a difficult position. He explained that initially, he couldn't even get permission to date her, as his family was against the idea of him marrying again. Both Kim Tae-hyun and Seo Jeong-hee acknowledged their mutual concerns about their families' reactions to their relationship.
